Geirdarddiad / Etymology: Olearia (oh-lee-AY-ree-uh): Probably named for Johann Gottfried Ölschläger (1635-1711), German horticulturist and author. His surname, latinised to Olearius.
Geirdarddiad / Etymology: nummulariifolia (num-yoo-lay-ree-ih-FOH-lee-uh): Having foliage like nummularia (species name originating from nummus, money; referring to small, circular leaves).
Description: A medium sized, much branched, evergreen shrub, reaching 3 metres. Its stiff branches give the bushes an unusual appearance. The leaves are small, thick, oval and yellow-green in colour. The flowers are carried at the branch tips.
