Geirdarddiad / Etymology: Sisyrinchium (sis-ee-RINK-ee-um): From the Greek sys- (pig) and -rynchos (snout) referring to the roots being consumed by swine.
Geirdarddiad / Etymology: striatum (stree-AH-tum): Striped or fluted.
Description: A clump-forming perennial, to 80cm tall, with fans of grey-green, narrow, linear to lance-shaped leaves. In summer, stiff, upright stems carry clusters of pale yellow, star-shaped flowers along their length.
