Geirdarddiad / Etymology: Thryptomene (THRIP-to-mee-nee): Feeble-courage, from the lowly nature of the first species described.
Geirdarddiad / Etymology: saxicola (saks-ee-KOH-luh): Rock-dweller.
Description: Has oval to egg-shaped leaves with the narrower end towards the base and 5–10 mm long. The flowers are pale pink to white with five sepals, five more or less circular petals and ten stamens. Flowers are often present in most months in its native environment.
