Geirdarddiad / Etymology: Saxifraga (saks-if-FRAG-uh): Rock breaker; from Latin saxum- (rock or stone) and -frangere (to break).Thought to indicate the medicinal use breaking up kidney, gall or bladder stones in the human body.
