Geirdarddiad / Etymology: kobus (KOE-bus): From a Japanese name, kobushi for some Magnolia species.
Description: Small, deciduous tree or large shrub about 5m tall, with mid-green leaves to 12cm long. Scented, star-shaped pure white flowers 12cm across, with 6-9 tepals with a hint of pink at the base, are abundantly produced in mid-spring; raised at RHS Wisley and named for a RHS botanist.
