Geirdarddiad / Etymology:
Helianthemum (hee-lee-AN-thee-mum): Sun flower; from Greek hēlios- (sun) and -anthemon (flower), turning towards the sun.
Description:
A low-growing, spreading, evergreen shrub to 20cm high with small, greyish-green leaves and bearing pale orange to pinkish, saucer-shaped flowers with yellow eyes from late spring into summer.
